NullPerator Manual
NullPerator is an eight-track music workstation for building complete songs from small, reusable patterns. You can use it on NullPerator hardware, Web, or iOS.
Like other trackers, time moves from top to bottom while tracks run from left to right. The play cursor follows the rows downward as the music plays.
What would you like to do?

Song is where your chains are arranged across eight tracks.
How a song fits together
You only need four ideas to make your first song:
Song arranges chains across the eight tracks. A Chain plays several phrases in order, such as a verse. A Phrase is a short pattern, such as one bar of drums. An Instrument gives the notes in that phrase their sound. Select any step in the diagram to open its guide.
Tables and Grooves add more control later. You do not need them for the first-sound walkthrough.
This manual covers NullPerator 0.1.
